Zitac
Zitac spa is a Urban Transformation Company (Stu) which was set up on 25th October 2002 (under the art. 22 of the Act n. 142/90 and under the art. 120 of the Consolidation Act 18 August 2000, n. 267) by the Municipality of Cittadella and the Padua Industrial Area and River port Consortium (Zip).
The partners of the company are currently the above mentioned promoters, the Unione Provinciale Artigiani (Artisan Provincial Union), the Confesercenti (Italian Confederation of People Trading in Commercial, Tourist and Service Activities) and the Magazzini Generali (General Warehouses). The company’s capital – the greater part of which is held by the Municipality of Cittadella – amounts to 217,000.00 euros.
The social object of Zitac is to plan and carry out works for the urban and building transformation and upgrading and the production development of the territory of Cittadella, in compliance with the current town planning tools, within the framework of this territory.
The company is also involved in:
- the promotion and support of the local economic development by carrying out specific policies aimed at drawing investments
- the creation of infrastructures and services within the territory
- the building of new production and service settlements
- the purchase, planning and marketing of real estates involved in the transformation and/or upgrading.
Its management comply with low cost criteria. Since it is a public body, it favours local enterprises and helps them to develop.
Not only does Zitac build the areas, but it also sells them at competitive prices and will reinvest its profits for the community. Furthermore, it will be involved in the management of the areas in order to guarantee development consistency, functionality, increasing real estate value for investors.
The area which Zitac has been granted, in order to parcel it out and build infrastructures to create a technological industrial/craft park as well as an office and service district, covers a 680,515 sq. m. total surface and is located in two areas called Santa Croce Bigolina and Rometta respectively.
